- 30-day defect & leak replacement — a leaking or damaged valve, a cylinder that will not hold pressure, or the wrong refrigerant or fill weight. Inspect within 72 hours of delivery.
Product details
Quantity is the only thing five cylinders changes: 25 lb each, 125 lb in total, and nothing different about how the gas charges. Keep them upright and secured, out of direct sun and away from heat sources, and protect the valve in handling and storage. Label and date what you open, so a part-used cylinder is never mistaken for a full one on the next job.
The blend is zeotropic, so it goes in as liquid. Draw vapour instead and what stays in the cylinder drifts off specification. Weigh in through a metering device, or throttle into the suction side with the compressor running, always against a scale. Work superheat and subcooling from the bubble and dew point columns of a blend chart rather than one saturation figure. Polyolester oil is the lubricant here; mineral oil will not return through the system.
Low and medium temperature commercial plant is the home ground: rack systems, display cases, walk-ins, cold stores, beverage and ice machines. It came in as an alternative to R-22 and R-502 on that kind of service work. Pressures run considerably above R-22, so confirm hoses, gauges and valves are rated for the duty. Recover rather than vent at the end of a job; venting refrigerant is prohibited in the US.
