- 30-day defect & leak replacement — a leaking or damaged valve, a cylinder that will not hold pressure, or the wrong refrigerant or fill weight. Inspect within 72 hours of delivery.
Product details
R-407A is an HFC blend aimed at low- and medium-temperature refrigeration, and it is one of the routine choices when an R-22 system has to stay in service after the gas it was designed around stopped being produced. It runs at pressures close enough to the original to make a retrofit practical rather than a rebuild.
Supplied as a 25 lb cylinder, factory sealed. As with any blend, charge it liquid. Glide matters here too: take your superheat and subcooling from the pressure–temperature chart for this refrigerant rather than from the one taped inside your gauge case for something else.
