Product details
Five cylinders is working stock, not a single call. Charges come in bursts once the weather turns, and a shop that stops mid-bay to chase gas loses the afternoon rather than the job. Keep one feeding the recharge machine, one staged behind it, and enough depth to absorb a hot week. Swapping an empty for a full cylinder should not mean a trip to the supplier. Count what you charge in a week and let that set the reorder point.
Mobile air conditioning does most of the work. Car and light-truck systems built around this gas replaced R-134a designs as makers moved off high-GWP refrigerant, so newer vehicles increasingly arrive charged with it — though plenty of recent models still run R-134a, depending on market and model year. Read the service label before connecting. Some stationary chillers and heat pumps use it, and it turns up as a component in newer low-GWP blends. It is no drop-in for an R-134a circuit: service ports differ, and cross-charged gas becomes a recovery job.
A single-component hydrofluoro-olefin rather than an HFC: no glide, nothing to fractionate, so the liquid-charging discipline blends demand does not apply the same way. Charge by weight through recovery, recycle and recharge equipment regardless. Pressures sit broadly in R-134a territory, but the mild flammability changes the ground rules — ventilate, keep ignition sources clear, no brazing near an open charge, and use leak detection and recovery kit rated for flammable refrigerant. Store upright, secured and cool. Never recover into a tank holding something else.
