Brought in as the service replacement for R-22, it covers direct-expansion air conditioning and medium-temperature commercial refrigeration: splits, rooftop packaged units, cold rooms, display cases. The blend is zeotropic, so it charges as liquid only — cylinder inverted, or metered into the suction side with the compressor running. Weigh every charge in. Glide means dew point for superheat and bubble point for subcooling. Retrofits off mineral oil need polyolester, and head pressure sits well above R-22, so check the condenser and the controls.

At this volume stock control matters more than the buying. Log what comes in and what goes out, issue the oldest cylinders first, and keep the outgoing paperwork straight.
