- 30-day defect & leak replacement — a leaking or damaged valve, a cylinder that will not hold pressure, or the wrong refrigerant or fill weight. Inspect within 72 hours of delivery.
Product details
R-448A was developed to take the place of R-404A and R-22 in commercial refrigeration without rebuilding the system around it, and it is one of the blends supermarkets moved to as the phase-down tightened on higher-GWP gases. This is a 25 lb cylinder of Honeywell product, made in the USA.
It is a blend with meaningful temperature glide, so read superheat and subcooling against the pressure–temperature data for R-448A specifically — the numbers you know for R-404A will mislead you. Charge as a liquid, and expect to adjust the expansion device on a retrofit rather than assuming the original setting still holds.
